Based on the 12U platform, Pandore provides a solution for in-orbit validation and demonstration (IOV/IOD) of new technologies.
The various partners in this project—French industrial companies—provided equipment and payloads that U-space integrated and tested in its U-zine prior to the satellite’s launch.
The various technology demonstrations are:
– A high-current pulse generation system (PLCU) by Microtec,
– A system complementary to navigation systems (GNSS: GALILEO; GPS) to provide synchronization functions when GNSS navigation signals are unavailable (Synchrocube) by Safran, combined with a mission-specific antenna developed by Anywaves,
– An electric propulsion system for nanosatellites (PJP30) by COMAT,
– Reaction wheels for nanosatellites (RW20) by COMAT,
– A software system for satellite Guidance, Navigation, and Control developed by U-space.
U-Space, as the supplier of the nanosatellite platform, played a key role in coordinating all these external and internal activities to successfully complete this in-orbit demonstration project.
Solutions offered
Our 12U Cubesat incorporated several payloads for this first mission (showcasing our multi-mission capacity with a single platform)
PANDORE is Europe’s first LEO-PNT satellite, giving U-Space a unique Know-how and flight heritage in that regard
Perfectly representing our offering, PANDORE is a complete delivery where U-Space is acting as Prime: Design studies, manufacture, testing and integration, support for launch and ongoing satellite operations
