Job description

Within the project teams, you will perform integration and system validation tests for our missions. This will allow you to contribute to all phases of the project life cycle, from design to operations. Your main tasks will be to: 

  • Define the test plans for each functional chain on board;
  • Implement, with the help of scripting languages developed by U-Space, and play the integration and validation tests on the different targets (engineering model, flight model, simulation means) via the company’s test driving means;
  • Implement the means of conducting tests during the various AIT tests such as environmental tests or end-to-end tests;
  • Implement and validate the operational procedures that will be used once the mission is in orbit;
  • Define and coordinate the technical and operational qualification tests;

You will be responsible for the organization of your activities to carry out the entrusted mission.

Job description

As a Management Assistant you will provide general administrative support to the company and will report to the Operations Department. You will have the following responsibilities: 

– processing files and verifying the administrative regularity.
– Managing the administrative side of travel (tickets, reservations, practical aspects) and expense reports.
– Screening and managing mail and e-mails.
– Making appointments, meetings and reservations.
– Follow up on invoices and contracts in detail and ensure that accounting tools are kept up to date.

    Job description

    Within the technical department, you will be responsible for the product assurance on U-Space satellites as well as for the general quality management within the company. 

    For product assurance, this position consists of:

    • establish, maintain and improve the company’s internal product assurance framework, 
    • participate in the implementation and/or maintenance of methods and procedures to guarantee the quality of products requested by customers
    • Define and supervise the quality of products and services provided by suppliers, 
    • contribute to the organization and execution of reviews, 
    • Prepare data packages for client reviews, 
    • Set up and follow the deliverable review process.

    For Quality Assurance, this position consists of : 

    • Establishing and maintaining a quality management system with the medium-term objective of ISO 9001 certification,
    • managing the anomaly and non-conformity process,

    Job description

    As a member of the U-Space technical department, you will contribute to the development of satellite simulators and their implementation in projects. 

    Satellite simulators are used to support the development of flight software, for the development of operational procedures and for the training of satellite operators. 

    U-Space develops and maintains a simulation infrastructure that allows it to instantiate simulators that meet these needs for each project. In this context, you are in direct communication with the flight software, ground segment and operations teams in order to best meet their needs and enable them to implement the simulators. 

    The main tasks you will be assigned are the following :

    • Develop new models in the simulation infrastructure
    • Instantiate simulators within the framework of projects
    • Implement the simulators in the projects and support the teams using them
    • Collect the needs of the teams that use the simulators 
    • Contribute to the evolution of the simulation infrastructure according to these needs

    You will be responsible for the organization of your activities to carry out the entrusted mission.

    Job description

    • Development of new commercial offers on new opportunities in conjunction with the sales and marketing teams;

    Job description

    Within the technical direction of U-Space, you will take part in ground spatial software developments.

    You will work alongside the U-Space ground systems engineer to scale up two critical softwares; the command control center and the integrated test environment.

    You will be autonomous in your developments. You will be responsible for the implementation of new features, with the validation and documentation. For this you will be very close to the satellite operators, the command and control manager and the AIT (Assembly Integration and Test) engineers. You will play a key role in the industrialization of U-Space as a major player in the French NewSpace ecosystem.

     

    This position consists of:

    • Developing highly reliable autonomous software systems.
    • Ensuring compliance with the technical specifications.
    • The responsibility for improving the real-time processing of space data in our softwares.
    • Owning all aspects of software development, including design, testing, and mission integration.
    • Design and implementation of features to offer an innovative way to command and control our satellites.
    • Design and implementation of our automatic test bench for satellite integration.

    Job description

    As part of its nanosatellite development projects, U-Space is recruiting an optical instrumentation engineer. Within the technical direction, you will be integrated in a nanosatellite project for an SSA (Space Situational Awareness) mission that U-Space is carrying out for its customers. You will be responsible for the development of an on-board optical instrument including a focal plane, optics and filter wheel mechanisms. 

    Your activities will include the following:  

    • you guarantee that the technical requirements of the project in your area are met with regard to the customer and management; 
    • You guarantee and ensure the technical coherence of the instrument;
    • you ensure a technical interface with the customer;
    • you define the architecture, functions, interfaces and use cases of the instrument;
    • you model the instrumental chain; 
    • you ensure the performance of the entire instrument in different use cases;
    • You will carry out the activities of specifications, trade-offs, analyses, assessments, V&V (including qualification) of the entire instrument; 
    • you contribute to the technical follow-up of suppliers;
    • you manage the technical developments in-house with the specialized business services;
    • you contribute to the definition of the instrument’s AIT;
    • you define and contribute to the validation and calibration of the entire instrument. 

    You will also provide support on preliminary studies. 

    Short term business trips in France are to be expected.
