Job description

As a Management Assistant you will provide general administrative support to the company and will report to the Operations Department. You will have the following responsibilities: 

– processing files and verifying the administrative regularity.
– Managing the administrative side of travel (tickets, reservations, practical aspects) and expense reports.
– Screening and managing mail and e-mails.
– Making appointments, meetings and reservations.
– Follow up on invoices and contracts in detail and ensure that accounting tools are kept up to date.
– Interfacing with the accounting department, collecting, filing and sending documents.
– Ensure the administrative part of the purchasing process, prepare supplier payments, keep the purchasing reports up to date.
– Managing daily invoicing, issuing invoices, monitoring customer payments.
– Controlling expense reports.

You have between 0 and 5 years of experience.

Profile and skills

You have the following training and skills

1. education at Bac+2 level (BTS, DUT, or equivalent)
2. Knowledge of office automation tools and knowledge of the google workspace suite,
3. Use of collaborative tools (shared planning, payroll tool, online ERP),
4. You will have a strong interest in modern IT tools in the cloud,
5. You are organised in your work and you know how to handle files with rigour.

    Job description

    As part of its nanosatellite development projects, U-Space is recruiting an Avionics Engineer. Within the technical directorate, you will be integrated in the Avionics department. You will participate in the implementation of existing avionics within projects as well as in the development of the company’s next generation of avionics for nanosatellites. 

    Your activities will be as follows:

    • You will be responsible for avionics subsystems specification, definition and design : functions, performances, interfaces, environnement (mechanical, thermal, radiation, EMC), lifetime, grounding.
    • You will be responsible for the Verification & Validation process definition and  implementation including qualification : review, analyses, tests.
    • You will contribute to the nanosatellites avionics architectures definition & implementation within projects;
    • You will contribute to the technical follow-up of the suppliers;
    • You will develop test setup and ground support equipment.

     

    You will be responsible for the organization of your activities to carry out the entrusted missions. 

    Professional experience

    A first experience of space, ideally between 0 and 3 years of space electronics development experience, even an internship.

    Profile and skills

    You have the following training and skills

    • engineering school or university, Bac +5
    • skills in script-oriented languages (Bash, Python) for testing, 
    • ability to test and document developments,
    • rigor in the development and respect of quality standards,
    • autonomy, innovation and creativity.

    Additional points if:

    • You are enthusiastic or you’ve already worked in the field of space systems engineering, whether its in design or in development.

      Job description

      Within the technical department, you will be responsible for the product assurance on U-Space satellites as well as for the general quality management within the company. 

      For product assurance, this position consists of:

      • establish, maintain and improve the company’s internal product assurance framework, 
      • participate in the implementation and/or maintenance of methods and procedures to guarantee the quality of products requested by customers
      • Define and supervise the quality of products and services provided by suppliers, 
      • contribute to the organization and execution of reviews, 
      • Prepare data packages for client reviews, 
      • Set up and follow the deliverable review process.

      For Quality Assurance, this position consists of : 

      • Establishing and maintaining a quality management system with the medium-term objective of ISO 9001 certification,

      Job description

      As part of the company development, U-Space is recruiting an Avionics Systems Manager to lead the Avionics department. This technical department is in charge of development and implementation of the avionics, electrical power & radiofrequency subsystems onboard nanosatellites. To do so, you will work closely with nanosatellites product owner, project managers, technical departments leaders and U-Space management. 

      Your activities will include the following:  

      • You will manage and lead an engineering team to achieve all departement activities and objectives,
      • You will be in charge of the definition and implementation of the department strategic roadmap, 
      • You will be responsible for the contributions of your department for all activities under your scope : internal projects, customer projects, R&D, bid, partnerships, suppliers relationship. 
      • You will be responsible for the development of the company’s next generation of ultra-integrated avionics,

      Job description

      Reporting to a Senior Business Engineer, your role will be exciting and focused on two areas: Technological and Commercial.

      Your mission is to develop our nanosatellite business through existing customers and through new prospects. Your strategic position allows you to collect competitive intelligence data.

      Your technical expertise allows you to guide the project of your customers/prospects in order to reach a commercial agreement. You prepare commercial proposals and negotiate the conclusion of commercial offers made to your client/prospect while ensuring that technical and financial commitments are respected.

      Your communication skills and the quality of your work allow the technical teams to take over the projects in favorable conditions.

      You will be responsible for the following tasks:

      • The qualification of calls for tender to the Management Committee.
      • Answer calls for tenders in collaboration with the technical teams;
      • Interface with the customer during the preliminary studies of nanosatellite construction projects.
      • Guarantee of the technical, schedule and financial feasibility of your proposals.

      Job description

      You will interact directly with U-Space’s executive management to participate in the development of the company’s embedded flight softwares. In line with U-Space’s collaborative work environment, you  will also work closely with the software development team, and will be encouraged to share your ideas and thoughts to further improve the development process of satellites. 

      This position consists of:

      • Defining and designing the software functions to be implemented in the embedded flight softwares
      • Developing and validating the main flight softwares in a continuous integration environment
      • Defining, developing and validating auxiliary softwares (e.g. microcontroller firmwares)
      • Participating in flight software validation at system level on a simulator representative of the satellite hardware
      • Ensuring that the flight software of satellites in exploitation remains operational
      • Defining and implementing the processes of the software factory
      • Complying with our software quality assurance policy.

          Job description

          As part of its nanosatellite development projects, U-Space is recruiting a space mechanisms engineer. Within the technical direction, you will be integrated in the Mechanical & Thermal department. Your action will be essential for the global development of the company’s mechanisms for nanosatellites, and you will work closely with every engineer within the department.

          Your responsibilities will be:

          • Driving the development of space mechanisms for the projects where it is a matter.
          • Defining and designing the new mechanisms for our satellites : solar panels hinges, hold down release mechanisms, payload specific mechanisms. This includes the whole design process, from the pre-concept to the manufacturing drawings.
          • Ensuring the Design to Manufacture as well as the respect of specific margins,
          • Developing and running the qualification campaign of the products you’ve design,
          • Participating in the mechanisms assembly, integration & tests campaigns,
          • Interfacing with internal development teams as well as external customers,

           

          You will be responsible for the organization of your activities to carry out the entrusted missions.

          Professional experience

          You have between 2 and 5 years of experience.

          Profile and skills

          You have the following training and skills:

          • Engineering school or university master, MSc or MEng, with a strong background in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering is a plus,
          • mechanical design experience including: stress-critical components; precision tolerance analysis; drafting; materials awareness; and fabrication/manufacture methods appreciation,
          • proficiency in CAD (CATIA/3DExp) and simulation software,
          • an appreciation of design to manufacture,

          Job description

          Within the technical team, you will contribute to the development of the Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC) subsystem of the U-Space satellites by focusing on the definition, implementation and validation of the algorithmic methods performing the on-board functions of Guidance, Navigation and Control of U-Space satellites

          This position consists in :

          • participating in the selection of SCAO equipment (GNSS receiver, attitude sensors, actuators),
          • contributing to the characterization of the selected SCAO equipment  
          • contributing to the validation of the performances of these equipments during the design and integration phases, 
          • to help design the algorithms for guidance, navigation, determination and attitude control of the satellites
          • contributing to the validation of GNC algorithms on digital simulator
          • contributing to the system/satellite level validation on system/satellite simulator,
          • to process the subsystem data from flight operations. 

          You will be responsible for the organization of your activities to carry out the mission assigned to you.

          Professional experience

          You have between 2 and 5 years of experience.

          Profile and skills

          You have the following training and skills: : 

          • engineering school or university in automation, Bac +5, 
          • professional experience in GNC, especially in connection with the implementation of navigation, guidance and control algorithms on embedded targets
          • advanced knowledge in the field of automation (Kalman filtering and robust control methods), spatial mechanics and system dynamics
          • proficiency in Python, C++ and C,
          • knowledge of version management tools such as Git,
          • knowledge of satellite hardware SCAO architectures, 
          • Good interpersonal and communication skills,
